Here are two pictures from a rack of clothes at Ann Taylor Loft in upstate NY. Notice anything interesting?
One side starts at 10 and ends at the 14 and over(women's sizes). The other side starts at 8 and 6-8 are 2/3 of the side. Sizes 4 and lower are around 1/8th of one side. There was only 1 item of clothing in 0, my wife's current size and we bought it.
I would love to have a similar picture from 1940 or so. I would be willing to bet the size 6 and below would cover one side and the 10 and above would be almost nonexistent, but I could be wrong.
I am not picking on Ann Taylor Loft here as I see this in every store I go to.
